Episode 6 of Brewing After Hours is taking a look behind all those crazy YouTube videos you’ve probably seen circulating about animals stealing cocktails or getting drunk off of fermented fruit like this squirrel drunk off fermented pumpkin or this drunken elk that got stuck in a tree in Sweden. Well we’re going to debunk myths and talk science with a molecular biologist and anthropologist Dr. Mareike Janiak who studies how primates, bats and other mammals digest their food. And stay tuned after the interview for the review of a beer I collaborated with Conscious Ales on called Casa Flora, a farmhouse saison with cherries.
